• The quotations by professors and students in the “on the record” posts are frequently facetious. The content of this blog, including the “On the Record” quotes, is not intended to be an official representation of the University of Minnesota Law School, UMN faculty, UMN law students, or anyone else. My professors do not actually advocate running over nuns, children, or homeless people, or serial stabbing.
• I also don’t walk around with a recorder. The quotes may be inexact. If you feel that you are grievously misquoted please contact me.

Placeholder names:

When documenting a conversation, I generally use placeholder names to avoid confusion. Jack and Jill are not the names of students in my class. Neither is Sarah or Billy. These are simply generic placeholder names. Placeholder names are not nicknames given to particular students.

If you attend UMN law and your name is Jack, Jill, Billy, Sarah, or whatever – do not fear. I am not quoting you. You just happen to have a unfortunately generic name.

Placeholder names on this blog do not consistently refer to any single individual. Placeholder names are not gender specific. (Sarah may have actually been Sean.) This is to protect the anonymity of my peers.

Nothing on this site is intended to identify (or ridicule) any particular individual (student, professor, or otherwise). There are no Professor Son-of-a-Bitches, or Slutty Hobos, referenced on this blog.
